Operating through local affiliate NGOs in Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, Palestine and Yemen, EFE addresses the growing youth bulge in the MENA region by training for committed jobs. It is a non-profit organisation headquartered in Washington, DC. As Senior Country Officer, Abeer manages the fast-expanding programmes in Morocco and Yemen. She also takes a leadership role in attracting stakeholders from local governments, non-governmental agencies and the private sector in the GCC region.

Abeer‟s areas of expertise are reducing youth unemployment, education and workforce improvement, and women‟s development in the MENA and GCC regions. Frequently in the field, she strengthens EFE‟s relationship with local, regional, and international partners as well as members of the youth community.
