Dr Janice Jackson
Lecturer on Education and Senior Associate for the Executive Education Leadership Program, Harvard Graduate School of Education
Dr Janice Jackson is a lecturer in Educational Leadership and Organizations at the Harvard Graduate School of Education and is the Senior Associate on the Wallace funded Executive Leadership Program for Educators. The initiative is a multi-year collaborative effort of the Harvard Business School, the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and the John F. Kennedy School of Government, working with district and state superintendents and their teams to help bring high quality teaching and learning to scale. She is also a faculty member in the Leadership for Change Program in the Carroll School of Management at Boston College.
Previously, she was an assistant professor at Boston College in the Lynch School of Education with a joint appoint in the Department of Teacher Education, Special Education, Curriculum & Instruction and the Department of Educational Administration and Higher Education. She entered higher education after serving as the Deputy Superintendent for the Boston Public Schools. During the first term of the Clinton Administration, Janice served as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Elementary and Secondary Education for the US Department of Education and also served as Acting Assistant Secretary for the same organisation.
