As well as co-founder, Kevin is currently its Director of School Improvement Services. He entered the education service in 1977 as a secondary mathematics teacher and taught in secondary schools in New Zealand and Australia.

Kevin has been a secondary school principal and also worked as an educational psychologist before moving into the field of teacher education. He is widely recognised for his expertise in classroom behaviour management, teacher mentoring and teacher appraisal and is a ministerial appointee to the New Zealand Teachers Council.
