Nick is the CEO of Phuket International Academy. PIA is a learning community that includes three centres: a K-12 International Baccalaureate School with a strong Social and Emotional Learning focus; a Mind Center hosting retreats and conferences that bring together ancient contemplative traditions and modern cognitive science; and a Sports Training Center, hosting athletes of all levels.

Previously, Nick worked in finance, where he was a Principal with JP Morgan Partners, the private-equity invest arm of JPMorgan Chase. He spent 18 months in silent, full-time meditation retreat, in conjunction with The Shamatha Project, the first major study on the long-term physiological and psychological effects of meditation.
